Spring Crafting!

Spring is around the corner, and there is finally some respite from the winter chill...the days are getting sunnier, and the evenings are less cold. Well, for all those staying in North India, it is a welcome change.

How do crafters welcome spring? A few that we have seen start knitting pretty lace shawls that can be flaunted in Spring, others start using pretty accessories to accentuate their hand-mades. Talking of accessories, we have some amazing shawl pins in our collection that may interest you if you are looking for a beautiful accessory to add to your lace shawls or scarves. Check out our pretty shawl pins here.

Spring also makes some crafters shift from merino and wool blends towards bamboo, linen and cotton for their spring shawl projects. If you are one of those, we suggest you try out this pretty Spring Kerchief  pattern with our Bamboo Fine Yarn and size 3.75mm needles. You would require two balls of Bamboo fine for this shawlette, and another ball for a contrast border.

Projects for the New Year!

New year brings with it a fresh start, resolutions, and great enthusiasm to accomplish what we have wanted for long. Most people make resolutions related to health and money..but we crafty lot have our own aspirations about crafts, so we tend to line up a separate class of crafty resolutions as well.

So what are your crafting goals for 2015? Do you plan to learn a new craft, teach a craft to someone who is new to the field, finish long pending projects, or start the big project that you have been wanting to for long.

Many of us here at AllKraftz start the year with a resolution of knitting only from stash, or doing just one project at a time The beauty of sharing resolutions with a crafting community of like minded people lies in the fact that one gets so much moral support to go ahead and fulfil one's goals from crafters who selflessly encourage you, and pat your back for every small accomplishment.

In case you are still wondering what projects to queue for the new year, we'd say make something nice and special for yourself. You always make things with someone else in mind, let your creativity be directed towards spoiling yourself, for a change.

If your new year resolution is to organise your craft supplies, we have some wonderful storage solutions for you which not only help you organise your crafts better, but let you carry your craft in style. Take a look at our selection of pretty totes and organisers:

If you plan to pick up a new craft this year, we have some beautiful cross-stitch kits which make great beginner projects. Take a look:
